Monte Urgull patiently waits for you to explore it. When you reach the summit you will be able to see the old walls of a castle surrounding it and views to die for. Monte Igueldo stands somewhere to the west, impressing you with the beauty of the panoramic view it offers. The easiest way to get to the top is to use the funicular railway.

There are many famous events hosted in San Sebastian throughout the year notably the popular Jazz Festival in July and the San Sebastian International Film Festival in September where you will see many famous celebrities. In addition there are more than 30 other events and fiestas in the town each year including an international chess tournament, craft and book fairs, horse racing, show jumping and many others. It would be difficult to take a holiday in San Sebastian at any time of the year without experiencing the joy of one fiesta or another.

Everyone who has visited Spain says that you can’t completely understand the essence of the country unless you enjoy its fantastic cuisine. A culinary experience in San Sebastian is adventurous, because there are too many dishes to choose from. The tapas are very special and served in small portions so that you can sample several whilst enjoying your drink. In the Basque country tapas are called pinxto on the menu and are constantly changing to meet the demand of the locals, who require a perfect balance between the taste, the appearance and the texture. You’ll find a few bars specializing in seafood types of pinxto; others use mushrooms as the main ingredient, while others prefer to mix the ingredients to create a special flavor. The range of tapas will suit any palette and will give you the chance to experience real Basque cuisine. Just enjoy them and you’ll live a wonderful holiday experience.
